Opportunities abound in the BRI Project

The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) Belt and Road Report aims to promote services in UK to Chinese government and business stakeholders who are working on Belt and Road Initiative projects.

The report address many common challenges faced by contractors and investors engaged in these projects, covering issues such as project finance, standards, infrastructure development, legal issues, etc.

This report is further proof of how the UK is uniquely positioned to support Chinese firms operating in unfamiliar or risky environments.

Hawksford’s Managing Director for South East Asia, Dario Acconci, contributed to the report, writing an article that showcases the role that ASEAN and Singapore play in the Belt and Road initiative. In the article ‘Belt and Road: ASEAN and Singapore’s Role’ on page 60 of the report, Dario outlined some of the key points of how Singapore plays an integral role, with a key focus on Singapore’s position as a global financial centre.
