Hawksford has appointed Olavo Guimaraes as Business Development Manager – LatAm, as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen its capabilities in supporting its global client base and enhance its credentials specifically in the LatAm market.
As part of the firm’s Global Solutions team, Sao Paulo-based Olavo will have a responsibility for fostering and enhancing Hawksford’s brand awareness across Brazil and the wider LatAm region by building strong commercial connections with key strategic partners – including law firms, investment bankers, international tax consultants, asset managers and family offices – as well as with corporate clients looking for multi-jurisdictional solutions.
Hawksford’s Global Solutions team specialises in supporting corporate clients with a broad and comprehensive range of services connected with their international expansion projects, cross-border M&A activity and multi jurisdictions asset matters. These services include company incorporation and management, corporate governance solutions, banking and financial services and tax and regulatory compliance in almost all major jurisdictions globally.
In addition to leading business development efforts in the corporate space across Brazil and the wider LatAm market, Olavo will also be a key contact for private client and funds related business development activity in the region.
With more than two decades of experience in cross-border M&A, investment banking, corporate finance and business development, Olavo has particular expertise in supporting clients in identifying and solving complex multi-jurisdictional needs, and in supporting ambitious businesses with their cross-border growth strategies.
Olavo was formally a partner of M&A advisory, corporate finance boutiques and a leading Brazilian corporate law firm, where he led deal origination, structuring, valuation, negotiation and execution across several sectors. He has MBAs in Exponential International Business Administration and Finance.
