Hawksford is delighted to be sponsoring the STEP Asia Conference 2017 for the 2nd year taking place on 7-8 November 2017 at the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore.
The theme for the conference this year is ‘Shining light in an uncertain world’ with topical issues pertinent to Asia and its families. This annual event is the largest forum for wealth structuring professionals and 2016 saw over 450 attendees from over 32 countries.
Hawksford’s Global Head of Private Client Darren Kelland will be in attendance along with team members from across our international offices including; Client Director Michael Powell, Relationship Manager David Rimmer, Trust Manager Emma Green and Senior Trust Officer Stephanie Almeida. Darren has recently joined Hawksford as Global Head of Private Client to lead and further develop the strategic direction of our private client division worldwide.
The conference will include a run down on the status and implementation of regulations such as CRS and beneficial ownership registers as well as country specific sessions exploring issues and opportunities from onshore to offshore planning. Single family office and governance considerations will be explored as well as cross border assets, investments and increasing wealth mobility. Panels will discuss the relevance of trusts today, emerging markets in Asia and will take a look at the digital world and how the advisory role may change in the near future.
