Hawksford Singapore is sponsoring the SME Excellence category at the British Chamber of Commerce’s (BritCham) Annual Business Awards 2016.
Now in its 17th year, the awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding quality and achievements of businesses in Singapore. Since its launch, the awards have brought significant exposure to the businesses and individuals who participate.
The SME Excellence category will identify an outstanding company with fewer than 50 employees worldwide that demonstrates strong business growth, the implementation of innovative business strategies and market leadership in its sector. The judges will be looking for ingenuity, the impact of initiatives through measurable results, consistent performance and the business’s long term prospects.
Jacqueline Low, Hawksford Singapore’s Chief Operations Officer, will attend the event along with Alan Ang, Business Development Manager, Hawksford Singapore.
Ms Low said: ‘This is the first time that Hawksford Singapore has been involved with the BritCham awards and we are delighted to sponsor the SME category. As a business, we are committed to supporting SMEs, which are the lifeblood of the Singaporean economy. It is important to celebrate the impact SMEs have on creating wealth and job opportunities for local people, as well as the influence these businesses have on a global scale.’
The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner on 29th September, which will be hosted by the BBC’s Sharanjit Leyl and attended by keynote speaker and guest of honour Mr S Iswaran, Minister for Trade and Industry.
Singapore-registered businesses can submit their award entries for various categories via the official event website at: www.bccbusinessawards.com. Awards entries close on 12 August 2016.
