Jersey man to represent financial services industry at prestigious branding conference
Matthew Morel, Head of marketing at local trust company Hawksford, has been selected to speak at the annual Communicate Reputation In Financial Services conference, to take place in London on 22nd January 2013.
About Hawksford - 08/03/2013
Now in it's fourth year, the Reputation in Financial Services conference is geared towards communication professionals in the financial services industry. This year's conference focuses on 'Taking the Long View' on ways to positively position the financial services industry and how to solve the problems faced by those in the sector.
In 2011, Hawksford, previously Hawksford International, commissioned a significant piece of client and competitor benchmarking, with the results informing a well-considered brand refresh. As part of the rebrand process, Hawksford also developed a business philosophy and positioning statement, 'thinking beyond tomorrow'. 'Thinking about tomorrow' encourages Hawksford's people to think differently for clients and plan structures that will not only meet their present short-term objectives, but be flexible enough to address the future needs of generations to come. The positioning statement was also the catalyst for Hawksford's thought paper, which was launched at a reception at the House of Commons in October and comprises contributions from leading figures form a variety of industries who, in the paper, examine the future of their particular sectors.
Hawksford was recently recognised as Owner-managed Trust Company of the Year 2012/2013 at the STEP Private Client Awards and in 2010 was crowned Independent Trust Company Team of the Year 2010/2011 at the same awards event. In 2011 Hawksford was recognised as Trust Company of the Year at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards and was shortlisted for the same accolade again in 2012. Hawksford was also recognised in 2010, 2011 and 2012 by Private Client Practitioner, as a Top 25 Trust Company in its annual listing.
Mr Morel joins an impressive panel of speakers at the conference including Penny Shepherd, CEO of UKSIF; Paul Clements, banking analyst at the European Commission; Chris Scott, partner at leading law firm, Schillings and Sara Gori of AXA. The expert panel will be discussing reputation and rebranding in a financial setting.
'To have been asked to speak at this prestigious event is wonderful and testament to the excellence of our brilliant team and to all of their hard work.. The theme of the conference 'Taking the Long View' sits comfortably with our mission statement 'thinking beyond tomorrow', which underpins everything we do at Hawksford. The conference attracts a large number of highly esteemed communication professionals and I am looking forward to sharing our experiences with them.'
The conference takes place on the 22nd January 2013 at Glaziers Hall, London. The event is organised by Communicate Magazine, the leading magazine for in-house corporate communications professionals and those who advise them.
