Tell us about Asia Resource Partners.
The company’s business activities are focused on the following segments: (a) Fuel trading and Logistics; (b) Biomass Marketing, Export and Import; and (c) Technology Marketing and Consulting.
Why did you start a business in Singapore?
We initially started the business in Japan in early 2006. In December 2009 we relocated the corporate headquarters to Singapore to focus on the growing opportunities in commodities trading and logistics within South East Asia. Singapore’s proximity to ARP’s logistics operations and stockpiles enables us to better manage the day-to-day operations, thereby guaranteeing quality products and reducing delivery risks for our customers. Singapore also has a friendly business environment and a very favourable tax regime.

What are your plans in the future for your company?
ARP plans to expand its logistics coverage and trading operations within South East Asia by investing up and down the value chain to be able to control the commodities from the source all the way to the client’s doorstep.
