Responsibilities

Johannes joined the Hawksford China team in 2021 based in Shanghai and leads the Account Management team for China offices. He regularly advises corporate clients – ranging from publicly traded MNCs to family-owned SMEs – on their overseas investment structures and operations in China. Prior to joining Hawksford, he worked in Shanghai as a trusted advisor for several reputable firms in the industry, gaining broad exposure in assisting foreign clients with their market entry and expansion projects, focusing on fashion, luxury brands and FMCGs. Johannes also provides his clients with effective and practical business-oriented solutions.

Qualifications and memberships

• Master’s degree in law from the University of Verona and LL.M. in U.S. Law from George Mason University
• Attorney at law, Washington State Bar Association (USA)

• Led the successful market entry and growth acceleration for several publicly traded European fashion and luxury brands in Greater China
• Italian government scholarship for a semester-long research project in public comparative law at the University of Seoul in Seoul, South Korea
