To manage and develop the Mauritius-based Fund Administration Support function, providing high-quality administration support services to Jersey-based teams across a portfolio of investment fund structures, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and in accordance with agreed service standards, regulatory requirements and client expectations. Working closely with Directors, Relationship Managers and Jersey-based teams, the Associate Director will be responsible for the effective management of the Mauritius team, coordination of service delivery and continuous enhancement of operational capability, supporting service quality, team development and the ongoing growth of the Mauritius Shared Services model.

Summary:
Working as part of the wider Fund Administration team, the Associate Director will manage the Mauritius-based Fund Administration Support function and coordinate the delivery of fund administration services to Jersey-based teams across a portfolio of investment fund structures. The role holder will work closely with colleagues in Mauritius and Jersey to ensure client deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with agreed service standards, regulatory requirements and internal controls. The position requires strong organisational and leadership skills, sound technical understanding, effective communication and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and priorities, whilst promoting team development, operational excellence and continuous improvement.Principal Accountabilities:
Service Delivery & Operational Management- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Jersey-based fund administration teams across a portfolio of fund structures, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain statutory, corporate and client records, including board packs, minutes, resolutions, transaction documents and periodic monitoring schedules, in accordance with internal procedures.
- Support the completion of periodic deliverables, including cash and transaction processing support, reporting inputs, and other administrative activities required by the Jersey team.
- Liaise effectively with Jersey colleagues to prioritise workflows, manage hand-offs and ensure clear communication on deadlines, responsibilities and status updates.
- Review work produced within the Mauritius team for accuracy, completeness and adherence to required standards before submission to Jersey for final review or approval, where applicable.
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Mauritius Fund Administration Support team, ensuring resources are effectively utilised and service delivery objectives are achieved.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in line with service level expectations, control frameworks, risk management requirements and applicable regulatory obligations.
- Act as an escalation point within the Mauritius team for operational and service delivery matters, working with Jersey colleagues to support timely resolution where required.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across Mauritius and Jersey, with a focus on service quality, responsiveness and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Support training, coaching and knowledge-sharing within the Mauritius team to build technical capability and consistent administration standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on fund administration matters, helping to ensure consistency, quality and adherence to established procedures.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence and high-quality service delivery within the team.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and development initiatives to strengthen team capability and support future growth.
Continuous Improvement & Shared Services Development
- Identify process improvements, support implementation of best practice and contribute to the ongoing development of efficient offshore support for the Jersey Funds business.
- Assist with onboarding and transition of new workstreams into Mauritius, ensuring processes are documented, understood and embedded effectively.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mauritius Shared Services model, supporting the expansion of service capabilities and migration of new activities into Mauritius as the function continues to evolve.
- Maintain accurate time recording, management information and productivity data, and provide reporting support as required by management.
- Keep up to date with relevant Jersey funds regulatory and procedural developments affecting the work being performed and ensure that these are reflected in day-to-day administration practices.
- Support the assessment and migration of suitable activities into Mauritius, helping to enhance operational scalability and service capability across the function.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and projects aimed at improving service delivery, efficiency and the overall client experience.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of operating procedures, controls and governance frameworks that support the continued maturity of the Mauritius Shared Services model.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CGI/ICSA or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum 8–12 years' relevant experience within fund administration, corporate administration, fiduciary services or financial services.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing complex client portfolios within a multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, investor servicing, governance and administration processes.
- Experience working with offshore financial centres such as Jersey, Cayman or similar jurisdictions would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives, process improvements and service transitions.
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management capability.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship management skills.
