Principal Accountabilities: 

  • To ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the trusts accounts.
  • To ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the trusts financial statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards and guidelines.
  • To prepare financial information and statements to deadlines and specified targets.
  • To provide accounting support and guidance to the trust administration team.
  • To assist to provide trust administration to the trusts under management.
  • To assist in the timely review of financial statements, ensuring consistency and accuracy is maintained within client accounting and to make recommendations for improvements.
  • To assist in monitoring workflow and accounts status.
  • To communicate and liaise with the trust administration team and to mentor team members.
  • To record all time on the Company’s time recording system and ensure narrative is clear.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trust accounting, client accounting, fund accounting, or a related finance role.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing trust accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; experience with accounting or trust accounting systems will be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Able to explain financial information clearly and confidently.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders where required.
