Job Purpose:

To support the centralised Banking Operations function in Mauritius by performing day-to-day banking transaction processing, statement-level monitoring, and data collation across core and non-core banks. This role is integral to Hawksford’s strategy to enhance operational efficiency, risk management, and digital transformation through the phased implementation of transaction monitoring.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Banking Transaction Processing

  • Upload and reconcile bank statements from core and non-core banks into vPoint.
  • Perform statement-level activity tracking to support receipts matching and transaction oversight.
  • Assist in the collation and import of banking data for automated bookkeeping initiatives.

Platform & Access Support

  • Maintain accurate records of banking platform access and assist in streamlining access protocols.
  • Support the transition from physical statements to portal-based access.

Data Integrity & Monitoring

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of banking data across jurisdictions.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving data discrepancies related to banking relationships.

Reporting & MI Support

  • Contribute to the preparation of management information (MI) reports on banking fees, FX margins, and interest rates.
  • Support the Senior Manager in producing reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory purposes.

Policy & Compliance Support

  • Follow established banking operations procedures and contribute to their ongoing refinement.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and fiduciary responsibilities in line with Hawksford’s compliance framework.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Prior experience in banking operations, finance administration, or shared services preferred .
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms and statement reconciliation processes.
  • Basic understanding of financial controls and risk awareness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data handling tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively across departments.
