In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the management and administration of a portfolio of Clients and responsible for a team of administrators / accountants.

Principal accountabilities:
- To attend management meetings to put forward points to enhance the efficiency of the running of the company to be taken forward by Senior management.
- To delegate work to and supervise a team of administrators/accountants (variable in numbers).
- Overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients administered in the team and for own caseload of highly complex cases.
- To monitor control checklists relating to accounts preparation, billing and periodic reviews.
- To ensure that monthly billing and cash collection targets are achieved.
- To ensure their own and team utilisation targets are met.
- To ensure accuracy of fixed fee billing.
- To monitor individual time charging targets and write offs and individual fee invoices generated and monitor debts.
- To review and check all outgoings from the team where appropriate and documents in a capacity as appointed or as authorised signatory.
- To carry out Performance & Development Reviews, ensuring the objectives are achieved and that training requirements are identified and implemented.
- To provide cover in absence of Director/Associate Director.
- General day to day administration on a complex portfolio of companies.
The type of person we are looking for:
- Experienced manager of a team of corporate administrators/accountants.
- Strong financial discipline and experience of commercial aspects of leading a team of administrators/accountants.
- Experienced in team delivery of providing services – bookkeeping, accounts preparation, tax calculations and filings, VAT, payroll and general company administration/cosec services.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with proven post qualification experience
- Good working knowledge of VAT and Corporation Tax
- Company Secretarial/Governance experience
- Client company directorship experience
- Financial Reporting (FRS 102 required/ IFRS preferred).
- Experience of working with Financial Services and FCA regulated clients and/real estate clients (preferable)
- Strong financial discipline.
- Experience of working with international clients.
