We are seeking a passionate and experienced BD Manager to join our dynamic China business team. The core mission of this role is to drive new client acquisition and accelerate Hawksford’s growth in the Chinese market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of China’s commercial, corporate, and institutional investment landscape, along with in-depth knowledge of accounting, tax advisory, and corporate compliance, including regulatory frameworks and market trends. They should be quick to understand and apply Hawksford’s risk control standards and service capabilities, and possess a well-established network of intermediaries, such as law firms, private equity funds, institutions, and government contacts - that can be leveraged to attract investment in corporate, accounting, tax and HR services. A proven ability to build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with key stakeholders - especially CFOs, finance directors, and decision-makers in multinational corporations and high-growth enterprises, is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate a proactive mindset, capable of identifying new business opportunities and introducing potential clients to relevant team members to drive collaboration and growth.

Roles and responsibilities
- Proven experience in solution-based selling, with the ability to identify client pain points and tailor professional service offerings to meet specific business needs.
- Strong awareness of compliance requirements and risk management practices in financial and corporate services, ensuring all business development activities align with regulatory standards.
- Work closely with the internal risk committee and finance department to present and evaluate new business opportunities. Understand the risks associated with these opportunities and ensure that pricing and revenue reflect these risks accurately.
- Participating in and attending industry-related events and planning and organizing initiatives to promote the company's services to crucial potential and existing contacts are essential tasks. Providing presentations on relevant topics as necessary is also part of the job requirement.
- To engage in communication and collaboration with the senior staff of the service delivery team. Upon reaching a consensus, take the lead in advocating for and orchestrating the development and delivery of new service lines. These initiatives aim to offer enhanced value-added services to the identified customer base.
- Develop and enhance channel partnerships (such as with law firms, tax advisors, and chambers of commerce) to create new avenues for customer acquisition.
- Utilize the established group connections to cultivate fresh clientele and develop new business opportunities.
- To develop a targeted customer acquisition plan tailored for various cities or regions.
- Establish a varied network of intermediary channels and explore the potential for diverse mutually beneficial models.
Our ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of work experience with a proven sales track record in corporate service or professional services firms.
- Strong network in the local market.
- Capability to manage coordination of complex multi-jurisdictional proposals involving multiple business lines.
- Entrepreneurial business focus, self-starter, attention to detail, and team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to "solution sell," listen to clients, and understand their underlying business needs.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and proficient spoken and written English, Italian, French and Spanish command are essential.
