Meet Jonny Amy

We spoke to Administrator Jonny Amy to find out more about his life inside and outside of Hawksford.

Jonny Amy - Administrator

What did you want to be when growing up?

I always wanted to be a Professional tennis player, the next Roger Federer. I used to play tennis for the island when I was younger, but I have since hung up my racket.

What does your weekend look like?

Currently, I am training for an Ironman, so my weekends contain copious amounts of swimming, cycling, and running with the 6 am club.

When I’m not doing any of those, I am out enjoying Jersey’s many great restaurants. My favourite is the Oyster box or Cheffins.

What do you enjoy about working at Hawksford?

Whatever you want to achieve with regard to career and personal development, there is a high level of support by all. Everyone wants to help you succeed and provide the right tools to do so. And of course, PC1 is the best team.

What one piece of advice would you tell your younger self?

Take every opportunity that arises and go for it!

If you could live anywhere in the world, money being no object, where would you live and why?

I’ve lived in numerous countries over the years prior to working at Hawksford including Australia and Thailand, but I’ve always been drawn back to Jersey.

What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?

The strangest thing I've eaten would probably be Crocodile in the Australian outback close to Darwin. It was actually very tasty!

I’ve also eaten a cockroach in Thailand, but who hasn’t……
