A new chamber has officially launched to support business between the Czech Republic and China with support from a global professional corporate service provider
On 5th of November 2019, Hawksford helped CzechCham establish its first presence in Shanghai. Hawksford provided assistance to CzechCham in obtaining a business license, establishing & initiating finance operations. In addition, the company will continue to ensure that CzechCham meets ongoing tax and compliance requirements in China by providing a complete suite of accounting and tax services.
CzechCham (Shanghai) Business Consultancy Co., Ltd., 捷商汇（上海）商务服务有限公司 is a private organization recognized by the Czech Republic Government and Diplomatic Network in Shanghai to represent the interests of Czech companies doing business in China and explore further opportunities deriving from global initiatives including the Belt & Road Initiative.
CzechCham will support business between the Czech Republic and China, helping companies better navigate the market, find powerful and trustworthy networking partners, and identify new opportunities more easily. CzechCham aims to build a stable business environment to gather experienced Czech and Chinese business leaders together. It will serve as a platform for companies from both countries to exchange information, market experiences, and resources. The chamber will also provide services to startups and companies new to the market. These will include helping them find better and faster ways of doing business, and quickly learn of their respective regional industry fields.
Richard Krpač, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai, said: “The establishment of the Czech Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai is a logical outcome of drivers that have been a long time in the making. No other place in Asia and perhaps the whole world can compete with China’s financial hub in terms of the number and quality of Czech companies thriving here. The big players have enjoyed the city’s growth and development in the past 10 years and others are preparing their China market entry through Shanghai. Let us not forget that CzechCham is already the preferred networking platform for a number of Chinese private and institutional conglomerates based in the Yangtze delta that have already invested in Europe through Czech Republic and are looking forward to strengthening their exposure in our economy.”
Lukas Hlavac, General Manager of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, said: “We have laid the foundations for a platform that opens dialogue between Czech and Chinese companies as well as relevant government institutions on both sides to foster mutually beneficial business relationships. We believe that partnering-up with a reputable company like Hawksford is vital to establishing a long-term presence and building stable relationships between the Czech Chamber and the business community here in China.”
