The Role of the Senior Payment Administrator is to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely execution of payment processes within the Client Services Support function. This role serves as a subject matter expert in payment processing, acting as the key contact for escalations, complex transactions, and process optimization efforts. The Senior Payment Administrator provides guidance to junior team members and supports the supervisor in maintaining compliance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, and a background in company, trust or funds administration. Minimum 5 years’ experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • The individual will have experience of running a payment team and have a strong commercial focus.
  • The individual will prepare payments in the core data base and respective banking platforms
  • The individual will work in tandem with client teams to ensure that payments are made in line with the required service level agreements
  • The individual will contribute to the ongoing efficiency and process development within the team
  • The individual will collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to make sure the client team’s expectations are achieved
  • The individual will ensure accuracy and compliance of all payment transactions with internal policies.
  • The individual will lead, coach, and develop a team of Junior Payment Administrators, including training.
  • The individual will have excellent relationship management skills and a track record in working across different service lines.
  • The individual will manage matters through a successful conclusion, be well organised and can deliver and work under pressure in a time sensitive environment.
  • The individual must demonstrate the ability to train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning, as well as strong relationship management skills to engage with stakeholders and senior management.
  • The candidate should also be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure. They will have excellent relationship management skills, be adaptable, and have a can-do attitude when looking at new business coupled with a commercial approach to risk
  • The individual must be able to provide regular reports, trackers, and dashboards to the Reporting manager on task completion and key success metrics.
  • The individual must be able to assist team members on more complex tasks and provide guidance regarding pending tasks and assist in liaising with team members to resolve pending matters.
  • Individual must have a can-do attitude when looking at new business coupled with a commercial approach to risk.
  • Ensuring clear and effective interaction between teams, departments, and stakeholders. Must be comfortable speaking up, escalating concerns and able to provide an independent view and voice.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all work hours in the company’s time tracking system, with clear and concise narratives.
  • Meet financial objectives set by management.
  • Adhere to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in daily operations.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and operational excellence.
