Irish Tax Advisor (Part Time),

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Irish Tax Advisor / Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role focuses exclusively on Irish tax and accounting matters, providing compliance advice to both existing and prospective clients. The successful candidate would also provide support to the Company Secretarial team on related tax matters and assist the internal accounting lead with review of client financial statements. On an ad-hoc basis the candidate would contribute to business development activities, particularly around tax and VAT registrations in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Tax Compliance & Advisory
  • Provide confident, clear, and accurate advice on Irish tax compliance matters, under Corporation Tax, VAT, and Payroll tax heads.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries from Irish Revenue associated with Irish tax compliance.
  • Prepare and review Irish corporation tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
  • Supervise and support the preparation and filing of VAT and VIES returns.
  • Interpret Irish tax legislation and communicate implications effectively to clients.
  • Respond to ad hoc tax queries from clients and internal teams.

Accounting
  • Review of client financial statements
  • Respond to ad-hoc accounting queries from within the business in relation to client accounts

Company Secretarial Support
  • Assist the company secretarial team with tax-related aspects of company administration including disposal and purchase of shares, dividend payments, advice on preparation for dissolution/liquidation etc.
  • Support clients with registration for Irish tax and VAT.

Business Development
  • Assistance to the Director of Business Development in relation to prospective clients setting out tax obligations and promotion of applicable Irish tax relief.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients, particularly regarding tax and VAT registration in Ireland.
  • Represent the tax team in meetings with clients and prospects in a professional and presentable manner.


Skills & Qualifications:

 

Professional Qualifications
  • Qualified Irish Tax Advisor (AITI/CTA) and/or qualified accountant with a focus on Irish tax.
  • Proven post-qualification experience in Irish tax compliance and advisory.

Technical Skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish Corporation Tax, VAT, and Payroll taxes.
  • Up-to-date with Irish tax legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with tax registration processes in Ireland.

  • Confident in delivering advice and presenting in client meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong client orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and business development.
