Successful candidates should possess a risk and compliance experience and able to understand and develop expertise in statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the Hawksford Mauritius. Candidate may also be requested to act as Compliance officer and MLRO for a few client entities as required by the regulator.

Principal Accountabilities:
As MLRO;
- Receive internal disclosures on suspected cases of money laundering or financing of terrorism
- Investigate internal disclosures and determine if external disclosures are required
- Act as main point of contact with the FIU in the handling of disclosures Administer the data management system – data processing and maintenance
As Compliance Officer;
- Ensure continued compliance with the requirements of the FIAMLA and FIAML Regulations 2018 subject to the ongoing oversight of the Board of the reporting persons and senior management
- Undertaking day-to-day oversight of the program for combatting money laundering and terrorism financing
- Regularly report to the Board and senior management (including reporting of non-compliance)
- Contribute to designing, implementing and maintaining internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems for combatting money laundering and terrorism financing
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum degree in law or management field
- Minimum 5-year working experience in Compliance/Risk functions
- Excellent IT skills (including MS excel, MS PowerPoint and MS word)
- Business level written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail in terms of risk
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a high level of integrity and take ownership of all risk and compliance matters
- Approved officer by the regulator would be an advantage
