Responsibilities of the role
• Provide accounting, financial reporting and fiduciary services for a portfolio of client companies• Assist with the books and records of Hawksford using QuickBooks
• Perform bank and client account reconciliations
• Assist with invoicing of clients and tracking accounts receivable
• Assist with recording and payment of Hawksford and client account vendor invoices
• Assist with audit requests / confirmations for Hawksford annual audit
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices and procedures
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, procedures and
workflows
• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpretating and reporting financial data
• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
• Involvement in new client onboarding and updates to the client master list
• Preparing reports for various regulatory deadlines
Requirements of the role:
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience in providing accounting and/or client admin services• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
• Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
• Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant) or
equivalent is required
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
• Experience managing staff is essential
• A compliance qualification or willingness to work towards a compliance qualification would be an asset.
• Must have experience of being client facing and comfort with liaising directly with clients via email,
phone, skype and meetings in person.
• Must be flexible and willing to work overtime hours from time to time
Compensation:
• Annual remuneration of US$120,000 to US$140,000 (depending on experience and credentials) – plus adiscretionary bonus and statutory benefits
• Discretionary Annual Bonus, up to five weeks of vacation, plus other statutory benefits
Working hours:
• Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week 7.5 hours per day, work pattern to be confirmed.
