Project Manager (Contract - 3 months), Group

The successful post holder will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the project and change delivery lifecycle and experienced in devising and implementing repeatable delivery practices. Roles at this level provide alignment of projects with business goals, construct detailed work plans, manage teams, achieve milestones, and communicate the result across a stakeholder audience. Please note: This is global role and so there may be a need to travel based on business requirements.

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
  • Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client and business stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources.
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximise deliverable outputs.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed, escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
  • To record all time on the Company’s time recording system and ensure narrative is clear. 
  • Such other duties as the management may at times reasonably require. This job description is a guide to the principal, current duties of the job.
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation is produced and maintained (e.g. business cases, RAID logs)
  • Provide regular, accurate and timely project status reporting to the PMO Lead and Management team

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Proven project management experience in IT
  • Professional certification such as Prince2 or MSP, PMP or Agile practices.
  • Experience in delivering applications involving system integrations.
  • Experience managing project budgets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Smartsheet beneficial

Preferred Skills & Certifications: 

  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes.
  • Experience in coaching junior project team members.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience undertaking Change Management activities.
