The CSS Manager serves as a vital link between senior leadership and the team, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement. The role is responsible for overseeing the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, and a background in company, trust or funds administration. A deep understanding of AML Handbook CDD Rules is essential. Extensive experience in KYC across multiple jurisdictions, Client Onboarding team for trust, company or fund administration across multiple jurisdictions is required. Minimum 10 years’ experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan, organize, lead, and control resources (people, processes, and finances) to achieve the organization's goals efficiently and effectively.
- Motivating, guiding, and developing teams to enhance performance.
- Managing CDD matters to successful conclusion, demonstrating strong organisational skills, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Required Skills & Experience:
- The individual will have extensive experience of running a CDD team and have a strong commercial focus which includes strong professional expertise and/or experience to develop and implement revised or new administrative, technical, or professional policies and procedures and processes, with specific focus on CDD/AML/BO.
- The individual will have excellent relationship management skills and a track record in working across different service lines.
- The individual will manage matters through a successful conclusion, be well organised and can deliver and work under pressure.
- The individual must demonstrate the ability to train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning, as well as strong relationship management skills to engage with stakeholders and senior management.
- The candidate should also be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure. They will have excellent relationship management skills, be adaptable, and have a can-do attitude when looking at new business coupled with a commercial approach to risk
- The individual must be able to provide regular reports, trackers, and dashboards to the Reporting manager on task completion and key success metrics.
- The individual must be able to assist team members on more complex tasks and provide guidance regarding pending tasks and assist in liaising with team members to resolve pending matters.
- Individual must have a can-do attitude when looking at new business coupled with a commercial approach to risk.
- Roles at this level are held by professional specialists with high-level expertise, exercising within their functional area a substantial degree of independent professional responsibility and discretion, working to broad parameters and policy guidance.
- Ensuring clear and effective interaction between teams, departments, and stakeholders. Must be comfortable speaking up, escalating concerns and able to provide an independent view and voice.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all work hours in the company’s time tracking system, with clear and concise narratives.
- Meet financial objectives set by management.
- Adhere to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in daily operations.
- Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and operational excellence.
- Actively contribute to enhancing team efficiency and the continuous development of processes.
- Ability to take initiative, adaptive and flexible in strategic problem solving and deliver sustainable change outcomes.
Qualifications required:
- At least 10 years work experience in a Management Company or Shared Service Centre
- Professional qualification such as ICSA, STEP or ACCA
- Knowledge of Viewpoint would be an advantage.
- Thorough understanding of financial services and global business, including company secretarial, administrative processes, financial services laws and regulations, including AML/CFT requirements
- Attention to details, solutions-oriented, proactivity and adherence to processes.
- Excellent IT skills (including MS Office, database management)
- Business level written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
