Principal Accountabilities: - 

  • Provide direct support to the CFO, including managing ad hoc requests, board reporting and priority projects.
  • Manage statutory reporting, including the preparation of financial statements for the consolidated Group and Jersey and UK entities.
  • Manage the global audit process, leading engagement with and maintaining relationships with external auditors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across Group consolidation, financial statement preparation and audit processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with jurisdictional financial controllers, tax teams and company secretarial teams to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, statutory deadlines, audit deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers and other ad hoc reports for the Board and external auditors.
  • Manage ad hoc financial reporting projects, including accounting standard updates, system implementations and other change initiatives.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise across the business, including the development and maintenance of Group-wide accounting policies.
  • Support acquisitions and integrations to ensure compliance with Group policies and statutory, regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain a robust control environment for the Group consolidation process.
  • Undertake other ad hoc projects and provide support to the wider Group Finance team as required.

Type of person we are looking for: - 

We are looking for a confident, resourceful and experienced accountant with the following qualifications, skills and experience:
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Previous audit experience is desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Extensive experience of multi-entity, multi-currency Group consolidations.
  • Experience of transfer pricing and tax processes across multi-jurisdictional groups.
  • Experience using financial consolidation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence to challenge existing processes and identify practical improvements across both jurisdictional and Group-wide processes.
