Matthew Rous, Chief Executive, CBBC
Matthew joined CBBC in September 2017 after 26 years in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office working as a career diplomat, most recently as British Consul-General in Guangzhou. Matthew read Modern and Medieval Languages at Churchill College, Cambridge, subsequently studied Mandarin Chinese at SOAS, and is a graduate of the Major Projects Leadership Academy at the Oxford University, Saïd Business School.
Dario Acconci, Managing Director, Asia, Hawksford
Dario started his career in Hong Kong in 2003 working for an international law firm and developed a deep experience in assisting foreign investments into China, Hong Kong and South East Asia advising clients in connection to various aspects ranging from corporate, commercial to labour law. He has built a practice of multinational clients and a strong reputation as an adviser to the board of several fashion and luxury brands.
Torsten Weller, China Policy Analyst, CBBC
Torsten has worked on Chinese regulatory policies for more than five years. Prior to working for the CBBC, he was a consultant for an international law firm in Beijing and has worked as a policy analyst at the EU Delegation to China and Mongolia. He holds a M.L. in International Relations and Chinese Politics from Tsinghua University as well as an M.A. in Geopolitics from the French Institute of Geopolitics (IFG) in Paris.
Fabio Stella, Associate Director of BD and Sales, China, Hawksford
Fabio graduated in International Law, business and politics before moving to China in 2012 for a course on Intellectual Property and Foreign Direct Investment at Peking University. He started his career at the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (where he is now Board Director) and oversees Hawksford’s Guangzhou and Shenzhen offices, whilst heading general Chinese Business Development activities.
Francesca Scortichini, Associate Director of Account Management, China, Hawksford
Francesca has considerable experience in advising Italian and international clients; trading, retail and industrial companies on investments in China and Asia. Francesca joined Hawksford’s Shanghai office in June 2014. Prior to joining Hawksford she worked as tax consultant in Italian CPA firms and in the asset management department of a leading international investment bank. Francesca graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan in 2004 and is a Chartered Accountant in Italy.
