Michael Powell, a director of Jersey based trust company, Hawksford, has been invited to be a presiding judge at this year’s STEP Private Client Awards.
Mr Powell joins many other highly regarded professionals who have been asked to fulfil this prestigious position in the past. Hawksford was crowned Owner-Managed Trust Company of the Year 2012/2013 at the STEP Private Client Awards and won the same award in 2010/2011.
The deadline for entries is 31st May and Mr Powell said he would encourage all Jersey based financial services organisations to enter to help maintain the island's well regarded profile.

A qualified trust practitioner and lawyer, Mr Powell has extensive expertise in establishing, administering and advising clients on a wide range of specialist solutions that include Managed Trust Companies, Family Office services and UK Tax planning. He has also advised families on complex situations, and continues educating, advising and implementing solutions for the young aspirant wealthy, whilst regularly visiting India and finding solutions for ultra-high net worth Indian nationals. Mr Powell is part of the executive team that heads up Hawksford Family Office and Hawksford Contentious Trusts.
