Local trust company, Hawksford, has been shortlisted in the category for Most Successful Change Management Programme at the inaugural CIPD Jersey awards.
The awards, which are in their first year, have been established to honour outstanding achievement in the field of people management and development.
'We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award,' said Peter Murley, chief executive, Hawksford. 'It is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff that we have been recognised in this way.
'It has been a fantastic couple of years for Hawksford with the acquisition of Trustcorp Jersey Limited early 2012 and Swiss based boutique law firm, L-S&S GmbH, in August last year. We also opened our Dubai office in June 2011 and now employ 160 people across three jurisdictions and will be continuing to explore opportunities which will see us strengthen our service offering to clients. As we have continued to grow and expand our product offering we have worked hard to ensure that our HR policies and procedures have developed with us, and ensuring that we've continued to deliver the highest standard service levels to our clients.'' added Mr Murley.
Since its management buyout in October 2008, Hawksford has gone from strength-to-strength. The company was crowned Trust Company of the Year at the 2011 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards and was shortlisted for the same accolade again in 2012. Hawksford was named Independent Trust Company Team of the Year for 2010/2011 at the STEP Private Client Awards and has been named as a finalist for 2012/2013. It has also been included in the Private Client Practitioner Top 25 Trust Companies listing three years in succession.
The CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) is the world's largest Chartered HR development professional body. Its aim is to drive sustained organisation performance through HR, shaping thinking, leading practice and building HR capability and setting the global benchmark for HR excellence within the profession.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Hotel de France on Friday 19th October 2012.
