Project Manager & PMO Lead,

To lead the project team to ensure that projects are delivered within the timescales agreed and to the quality expected. To be responsible for defining and monitoring the project delivery governance framework.

The successful post holder will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the project delivery lifecycle and experienced in devising and implementing repeatable delivery practices throughout the within the delivery teams. the processes necessary for a structured, repeatable delivery adherence to the project delivery governance framework.

Roles at this level provide alignment of projects with business goals, construct detailed work plans, manage teams, achieve milestones, and communicate the result across a stakeholder audience.

Please note: This is global role and so there will be a need to travel based on business requirements.


Principal accountabilities:

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
  • Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client and business stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources.
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximise deliverable outputs.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
  • Define, implement and maintain the project governance delivery framework.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of the PPM templates to support delivery standardisation.
  • To record all time on the Company’s time recording system and ensure narrative is clear.

The type of person we are looking for:

  • Proven project management experience in IT
  • Professional certification such as Prince2 or MSP preferred. Holders of PMP or Agile certifications also considered.
  • Experience in delivering applications involving system integrations.
  • Experience managing project budgets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes.
  • Experience in coaching junior project team members.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience undertaking Change Management activities.
  • Professional certification such as P3O
