In conjunction with the Managing Director, developing and delivering the marketing and business development plans for the business, securing and deploying the resources necessary to meet the current and future needs of the department. Ensuring that the department meets internal and external financial, regulatory, legal and strategic requirements.

Summary:

  • Assisting with the development of the Business Development plan for the Irish business.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of the strategic plans, securing and deploying the resources necessary to meet the current and future needs of the Company. Ensuring that the Company meets internal and external financial, regulatory, legal and strategic requirements.
  • Assisting with the implementation and management of the Company’s direction and strategic objectives.
  • Actively leading new business generation ensuring the growth of the business from both existing and potential clients.

 

Principal accountabilities:

Client Service

  • Ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality relationship management to clients.
  • Ensuring excellent quality of service given in accordance with agreed and expected professional standards.
  • Working with the team to develop strong client relationships.
  • Assisting the team with complex transactions and solution driven resolutions.
  • Executing the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards.

Financial

  • Optimising both the short-term and long-term financial performance of the marketing and business development function.
  • Meeting all budgeted financial metrics.

New Business

  • Leading on new business generation, ensuring the growth of the business from potential clients.
  • Identifying new business opportunities by targeting prospective introducers of business.
  • Initiating and supporting marketing initiatives to help drive revenue.
  • Working with colleagues to maintain/increase the profitability of the existing client base and creating opportunities for new business.
  • Developing and promoting profitable new service lines and associated standards.

Learning and Development

  • Initiating and/or sponsoring policy changes required to meet the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Identifying barriers to service and be an ambassador for change.
  • Taking responsibility for the achievement of agreed personal objectives.

Leadership

  • Assisting on the development of the departmental strategy and provide strategic direction/leadership within the business.
  • Inspiring staff through your positivity, effectiveness and results.

The type of person we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in business development including the sourcing of leads and conversion of leads to new business.
  • Proven experience in the financial services industry. Ideally with operational and management experience in a Corporate/ Trust company management/administration environment.
  • Experience and understanding of relevant legislation relating to target markets.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of working with a multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional financial services firm.
